MapBiomas launches new tools and updated collection of land cover and land use maps
Historical mappings of fire scars and water surface in Brazil, in addition to an updated collection of land cover and land use maps, will be released this month by the MapBiomas Project. The first event of the Brasil Unveiled 1985-2020 series will be on Monday (16) with the launch of the Collection 1 of MapBiomas Fogo. At 10:30 am, with live presentation and debate on the MapBiomas channel on Youtube (@mapbiomasbrasil) and also on Facebook (@mapbiomas).
Collection 6 is also coming with news and improvements in land use and land cover mapping in Brazil. The new mapping will include 2020 data, expanding the historical series of land use and land cover in Brazil from 1985 to 2020, in addition to new classes.
